We have found that experienced HGV mechanics are an excellent fit for our team.Job Overview:You will be joining our team of 5 full time mechanics maintaining and repairing our sleeper coach and splitter van fleet in our purpose built workshops, located at our Begbroke site (OX5 1RG). There will also be some assisting with maintenance of our LCV fleet as the schedule allowsKey Responsibilities:Carrying out vehicle servicing in accordance with company policyCarrying out Periodic Maintenance Inspections and repair to both company and DVSA standardsPreparing and presenting for MOTsDiagnosing vehicle faults and specifying the correct method of repair and warranty claims are in line with termsEnsuring correct paperwork is completed and accurate records maintained in a timely mannerAdhering to good housekeeping practices including general tidiness in the workshop and return of all tools and equipment to their designated placeAttending on-road vehicle breakdownsCarrying out vehicle road testing where necessary to determine specific vehicle defects or following remedial repairComplying with Health and Safety policy and guidance documentsAdopting methods of safe workingOvertime will be available when required during busy periodsAbout you:Level 3 NVQ in HGV or PSV maintenance, repair and diagnostics or equivalentMinimum 5 years industry experience of both mechanical and electrical systemsPSV licence would also be a bonus (not essential)Welding experience would also be desirable.Have proven knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work ActAbility to work effectively unsupervised, use own initiative and remain focused and consistent and a 'can do' attitudeBenefits:Company pensionFurther on-going training opportunitiesAdditional Information:If you would like further information about the role, please contact our HR Team. xjdpvnf Please click on the APPLY button to send your CV and Cover Letter for this role.Candidates with experience of; Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician, HGV Technician, HGV Engineer, LGV Mechanic, Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Support Technician, Maintenance Support Engineer may also be considered for this role
