What you will do: Manage a complex and varied caseload with a high level of autonomy and professional judgement. Provide expert professional and technical guidance to social workers, managers, colleagues, and partner agencies. Apply a range of theoretical frameworks to deliver high-quality assessments and intervention planning. Mentor and support colleagues to develop professional confidence, capability, and effective caseload management. Build and maintain strong internal and external partnerships to enhance service delivery and outcomes. Prepare high-quality court reports and provide expert evidence when required. Undertake Section 42 safeguarding enquiries, ensuring robust and defensible decision-making. Contribute to panel work, service development, and strategic planning activities. Maintain practice standards in line with the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) at Experienced Social Worker level. Act as a practice educator, supporting social work students and newly qualified social workers. Requirements: Meet PCF Experienced Social Worker standards. Hold a recognised Social Work qualification (Degree or equivalent) and a relevant postgraduate qualification. Be registered with Social Work England (mandatory).
