Maintain and enhance an on-premise data centre environment. Act as a technical escalation point for complex network issues. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior network engineers. Support and evolve Cisco-based firewall, switching, and wireless estates. Contribute to architectural decisions, including the transition away from legacy platforms. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure network availability, performance, and security. Participate in an on-call rota (with improving frequency as the team grows).Skills / Must Have: Strong enterprise networking experience (routing, switching, firewalls). Hands-on experience with some of the following: Cisco Firepower & Cisco ASA Cisco Wireless & Cisco ISE Cisco ACI (or migration away from ACI to modern platforms) Palo Alto Firewalls F5 Load Balancers Meraki SD-WAN Ability to work across design, deployment, and support. Comfortable mentoring junior engineers and sharing technical knowledge. Eligible for UK security vetting (clearance sponsored).Nice to Have: Experience acting as a Network Technical Lead. Exposure to Nexus Dashboard Manager or modern DC management platforms.
