Engineering Manager Technical Services Swindon, UK | Major Infrastructure & Construction Projects Salary: 85,000110,000 + 6,000 car allowanceRemember to check your CV before applying Also, ensure you read through all the requirements related to this role.Shape the engineering behind some of the UKs most complex infrastructure projects.We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead technical services across major bids and live projects across the UK, working at the intersection of design, construction, innovation, and delivery.This is a senior role for a Chartered Engineer who enjoys influencing outcomes, leading multi-disciplinary teams, and driving value through smart engineering solutions.What youll be doingAs Engineering Manager, youll provide leadership and assurance across both work-winning and project delivery, ensuring engineering solutions are safe, compliant, innovative, and commercially robust.You will:Lead the engineering function across your allocated sector or projectsProvide engineering assurance from design through construction, commissioning, and handoverInfluence tenders and bids, identifying technical risk and driving mitigation strategiesChampion value engineering, alternative designs, and modern construction methodsLine manage and mentor Design Managers and engineering teamsPromote best practice in temporary and permanent worksAct as a trusted technical advisor to Project Directors, clients, and supply-chain partnersSupport the recruitment, development, and retention of high-performing engineersWhat were looking forEssential:Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalentSignificant experience across both design and constructionProven background in major infrastructure or civil engineering projectsStrong leadership experience managing engineering and design teamsSound understanding of engineering assurance, standards, and complianceAbility to deputise for the Project Manager when requiredKnowledge of Principal Designer duties (including ERIC on relevant projects)Desirable:Experience on rail / Network Rail or similarly regulated environmentsBackground in temporary works coordinationTrack record of innovation and value engineeringYoull be empowered to influence decisions, develop people, and leave a lasting impact on both projects and careers.Why this role?Work on high-profile, technically complex infrastructure projectsInfluence engineering strategy at both bid and delivery stageLead and shape a growing engineering capabilityCollaborative, values-driven cultureLong-term career development opportunitiesBased in Swindon, close to major transport links and key project sitesCompetitive package: 85,000110,000 + 6,000 car allowance Interested? xjdpvnf Apply now or reach out for a confidential conversation to explore this exciting opportunity.
