Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Band 6 High Risk Podiatrist to join a specialist community podiatry service. This role focuses on the assessment and management of high-risk patients, particularly within diabetic foot and complex wound care pathways. Key Responsibilities The postholder will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of podiatric care for patients with a wide range of complex clinical needs, including: Diabetes Vascular disease Rheumatological conditions Neurological disorders Wound management Nail surgery You will be required to assess and treat urgent new patients, demonstrate a strong understanding of diabetic foot pathways, and escalate care appropriately when required. Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience working within a high-risk podiatry service Strong wound care skills, including infection detection, offloading techniques, and specialist dressing knowledge Ability to recognise deterioration and escalate appropriately Proficiency in manual ABPI, Toe Pressure assessment, and Blue Doppler (desirable) Experience managing complex and urgent podiatry presentations Excellent clinical reasoning and decision-making skills Ability to work independently across multiple community sites Additional Requirements HCPC registered Podiatrist Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
