Relationship Director - Real Estate/Specialist Sectors – Social Impact BankHome-based | Regular travel across South of EnglandI’m working on a brand new mandate for a highly reputable, well-capitalised UK social purpose bank with a strong balance sheet, national reach, and a genuine commitment to using capital for good.This organisation has a clear appetite to lend, backed by experienced credit teams and a pragmatic, relationship-led approach. The bank is actively deploying capital into mission-led organisations, supporting communities, protecting the planet, and delivering meaningful social outcomes alongside strong commercial returns.This is a senior, autonomous Relationship Director–level role, offering significant flexibility, freedom to originate, and the opportunity to structure and complete substantial REF transactions up to £8m (and beyond through syndicated structures).The OpportunitySenior Impact Relationship Manager / Relationship Director – Specialist SectorsHome-based, with regular travel (regionally or nationally, depending on patch)High degree of autonomy with strong internal credit, legal and impact supportClear mandate to originate, structure and complete new lendingTransaction sizes typically £1m–£15m, including complex and development-led dealsStrong appetite for lending across charities, social enterprises, faith-based organisations, community assets, supported housing, education and impact-led real estateAbility to work on chunky, meaningful transactions that deliver measurable social and environmental impactThe RoleOriginate and develop a high-quality pipeline of impact-led lending opportunitiesBuild deep, trusted relationships with senior leadership teams, boards, advisers and intermediariesStructure and negotiate complex REF lending transactions from inception to drawdownPrepare and present robust, well-structured credit proposalsAct as an ambassador for values-based banking across sector events and networksWork closely with internal credit, risk, legal and impact teams to deliver efficientlyIdeal BackgroundStrong track record in commercial, specialist or property lending (£1m–£15m+)Experience originating and structuring complex, relationship-led transactionsExposure to social sector, impact finance, supported housing, community assets or specialist real estate highly desirableComfortable operating with autonomy and accountability at senior RD levelCommercially astute but values-driven, with a genuine interest in social impactThis role would suit a senior commercial banker or specialist lender who wants the freedom to do deals properly, backed by a bank that actively wants to lend, values relationships over volume, and delivers capital where it genuinely makes a difference.
