We are recruiting a Mechanical Engineer / Technician from an HGV, plant, forklift, bus or construction background to join an aviation ground equipment maintenance team. You do not need previous GSE experience – full training will be provided.This is a hands-on role working on specialist airport equipment that directly supports aircraft operations.What You’ll Be DoingService, inspect and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and basic electrical systems (12/24V)Diagnose faults using schematics and technical manualsAttend breakdowns on airport sites and complete service documentationWork safely to procedures and aviation standardsIdeal BackgroundExperience in HGV, plant, forklifts, buses, construction equipment or similarStrong mechanical & hydraulic knowledge with basic auto-electricsComfortable reading drawings and fault-findingClass 1 HGV Licence and full UK driving licenceBased within commuting distance of Gatwick
