Oncology ManagerLocation: GuildfordJob Type: Permanent | Full-Time (37.5 hours per week, Mon–Fri)Salary: £64,500 per annum + excellent benefitsMy client is seeking an experienced and motivated Oncology Manager to lead the Oncology Day Unit at their modern hospital facility in Guildford. This is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished oncology professional to take on a key leadership role and drive excellence in patient care and service delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee the Oncology Day Unit (18-chair chemotherapy suite) and all oncology services within the hospital.Provide strong clinical leadership, motivation, and supervision to nursing and multidisciplinary teams.Ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care for oncology patients from diagnosis to end-of-life care.Support service development, quality improvement, and compliance with regulatory standards.Work collaboratively with senior management, consultants, and other healthcare professionals to uphold high clinical standards.Contribute to audits, clinical governance, and infection prevention initiatives.RequirementsRegistered Nurse with current NMC registration.Minimum of 4 years’ senior oncology experience.Postgraduate qualification in Oncology.SACT Passport essential.Proven leadership and people management experience.Excellent communication and organisational skills.A teaching or assessing qualification would be an advantage.Working HoursFull-time, Monday to Friday (clinic open 8:00am – 5:30pm).Flexibility available – option to work condensed hours across 4 days.On-call shared with senior team members (approximately once per month).Additional InformationThe current Oncology Manager is relocating, and my client is looking for someone to start as soon as possible.Interviews can be arranged quickly — applications are being reviewed as they are received.The Director of Clinical Services is available for interviews on Wednesdays and Thursdays.If you’re an experienced oncology professional looking for a new leadership opportunity, please apply today to discuss this exciting role further.
