You’ll be part of a close-knit, highly skilled engineering team where your ideas directly influence innovative, high-quality solutions used across aerospace, manufacturing, energy, and defence.The Business:Forward-thinking projects with real innovationSupportive, friendly cultureGenuine career development and global project exposureSee your designs progress from concept to realityThe Role of the Mechanical Design Engineer:As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll play a key part in taking projects from concept through to production and installation.Responsibilities include:Designing custom HVAC systems using 2D/3D CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor).Producing P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).Performing airflow, psychrometric, and heat load calculations.Selecting and specifying fans, filters, coils, heaters, and control components.Collaborating with project managers, site engineers, and suppliers.Supporting installation and commissioning activities (some UK/international travel).Ensuring all designs meet CE/UKCA compliance and relevant directives.About the Mechanical Design Engineer:The Mechanical Design Engineer will need to be someone who enjoys problem-solving and working in a fast-paced project environment where no two days are the same.Essential Requirements:HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or HVAC Design.Minimum 3 years’ experience within HVAC, air handling, or building services.Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.Good understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and ventilation systems.Full UK driving licence (company pool van or mileage expenses provided).Desirable:Experience with HVAC or air-handling projects.Familiarity with ATEX components and CE/UKCA directives.Some understanding of electrical systems (wiring, controls, motor drives).Benefits of the Mechanical Design Engineer:£38,000 – £48,000 salary (dependent on experience)25 days’ annual leave + bank holidaysCompany pensionSupportive and friendly cultureSupportive culture with real development and global exposureOpportunity to see your designs go from concept to realityIf you are a Mechanical Design Engineer and you’re looking for a role where your technical creativity and design expertise can truly make an impact — this is it.Find out more about our available opportunities or how I can help you further your career – contact me today.Please contact Adele Lewis or click Apply Now.Call: 0151 209 2050 or 07537163611Email:
