Red Hat OpenShift EngineerRate: £675/dayContract: Inside IR35Location: Remote, UK-based onlySector: NHS or Central Government is ESSENTIALOverviewWe are supporting a programme in the NHS that is seeking an experienced Red Hat OpenShift Engineer to support the build, operation, and optimisation of container platforms underpinning critical digital and data services.The role focuses on designing and running secure, resilient OpenShift platforms, working closely with platform, cloud, security, and application teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and operate Red Hat OpenShift clusters in production environmentsSupport OpenShift deployments across cloud and hybrid infrastructureImplement and manage CI/CD pipelines for containerised workloadsEnsure platform security, resilience, and performance in line with public sector standardsWork closely with security architects to embed security-by-design and compliance controlsSupport application teams with containerisation, deployment, and troubleshootingContribute to platform documentation, operational runbooks, and best practicesRequired ExperienceStrong hands-on experience as an OpenShift Engineer or Platform EngineerProven experience building and operating Red Hat OpenShift in enterprise environmentsSolid Kubernetes expertise, including networking, storage, and ingressExperience running OpenShift on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and on-premStrong Linux and Red Hat ecosystem experienceExperience working within the NHS or UK central government is essentialUnderstanding of public sector security and compliance requirements (for example NCSC guidance, DSPT)Nice to HaveExperience supporting data platforms, analytics, or AI/ML workloads on OpenShiftExposure to GitOps tooling (for example Argo CD) and Infrastructure as CodeExperience working in highly regulated or mission-critical environmentsStrong stakeholder and communication skillsApply now or email for more information.
