Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Location: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire Contract: Part-Time / Full-Time (Supply or Long-Term) Employer: Simply Education Simply Education is recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work in primary and/or secondary schools in Wisbech. This role is ideal for a qualified HLTA or an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step in their education career. The Role As an HLTA, you will: Deliver learning activities to individuals, small groups, and whole classes under the direction of teaching staff Provide cover for classes during short-term teacher absences where required Support the planning, delivery, and assessment of lessons Assist in raising pupil attainment and engagement Support pupils with additional learning needs Contribute to the school's wider pastoral and academic aims Qualifications & Experience Required HLTA status or a Level 4 qualification (or above) in Supporting Teaching and Learning Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within a school setting Experience supporting learning across the curriculum Strong communication and classroom management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team A flexible, proactive, and professional approach Safeguarding & Compliance Enhanced DBS check (registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply) Right to work in the UK Ability to meet Simply Education's safeguarding and recruitment standards Safeguarding Statement Simply Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
