JDR Recruitment are working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing business to recruit a Glass Operative to support the production of high-quality glazed units. The Role You will play a key role within the glass department, ensuring glass components are handled, assembled, and inspected to the highest quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Safe handling of glass at all times, following correct manual handling procedures Assembly of double-glazed units using correct spacers, sealants, and glass types Inspection of glass before and after processing to ensure quality standards are met Cleaning and preparation of glass for assembly and installation Operating machinery in line with health & safety guidelines and SOPs Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area Reporting faults, defects, or safety concerns to supervision Working to production targets while minimising waste Collaborating with other departments to support production flow Shift Pattern & Pay Monday to Thursday: 14:15PM - 00:00 Friday, Saturday & Sunday: Off every week (long weekend) Pay Rate: 12.21 per hour Candidate Requirements Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (glazing experience desirable) Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity Ability to follow measurements, specifications, and instructions accurately Awareness of health & safety procedures Reliable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision Team-focused with good communication skills What's on Offer Long weekend every week Consistent weekday hours Ongoing work through JDR Recruitment Opportunity to work with a reputable manufacturing employer If you are interested in this position, please apply today - we are looking to schedule interviews for early next week.
