The Employment Group The Employment Group acts for clients in a broad range of sectors. The client base includes but is not limited to the firms'' media & entertainment, sports and tech industry clients. The Group advises both employers and employees, typically senior executives, on a wide range of matters including the usual broad range of contract negotiations, ongoing employment issues, termination of employment of senior executives and negotiation of settlements, Employment Tribunal claims, reorganisations of companies and their staff (including advising on TUPE and collective redundancies) team moves and restrictive covenant enforcement and advice. We provide advice and support on dealing with grievances and disciplinary investigations. The Group''s work involves a very good mix of contentious and non-contentious work. This includes high value psychiatric injury claims arising from bullying or discrimination in the workplace, where we typically act for Claimants and are market leaders. Our lawyers gain great experience by being able to act for senior employees as well as employers, and across a range of employers from small startups to big established organisations. The role The successful candidate will have 1 - 2 years PQE. They will have strong academics and will have received high quality training. They should be ambitious and keen to take on responsibility. As well as good technical skills, the successful candidate will need the right interpersonal skills, genuine interest in employment work and commercial sense.
