Were looking for an organised and proactive Scheduler to join us on a 6-month fixed-term contract, playing a key role in coordinating work for our SMS field engineers and sub-contractors. In this role, youll plan and manage daily schedules in the most efficient and cost-effective way, ensuring all activity aligns with client priorities and contractual commitments. Youll also oversee scheduling for our warrant project, responding to specific client bookings and ensuring each engineer has sufficient chargeable work to meet departmental targets. Alongside this, youll handle customer queries with professionalism, collaborate closely with internal teams to meet service requirements, and maintain accurate reports and databases to support smooth operational delivery. Based in our Cardiff office, working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm reporting into the Metering Delivery Manager. Key responsibilities: Schedule work for SMS Field Engineers and sub-contractors to ensure efficient daily operations. Action requests received via customer portals and the Metering Services mailbox, prioritising work in line with contractual agreements. Support engineers and sub-contractors, identifying issues and escalating to the Metering Delivery Manager when required. Maintain the Metering Database and other relevant systems, ensuring industry flows are sent where necessary. Liaise with customers and internal departments regarding appointments, access, and service delivery. Prepare management reports and request access permits as needed. Handle ad-hoc queries from engineers, customers, suppliers, and other teams. To be considered for this role, we would love you to have: Education up to GCSE (or equivalent) standard Recognised course / qualification in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc) Organisational skills Experience in Reporting using relevant systems/databases Good time management Good Communication skills, written and verbal Experience of working in a team Experience of working under pressure and delivering deadline #LI-Hybrid TPBN1_UKTJ
