Job Description

Owen Mumford are looking to hire a Team Leader for our Moulding department working on our 6am - 2pm or 2pm-10pm (alternating shifts). Could this be your next role? As the Moulding Team Leader you will be responsible for leading a team of Setters, Operators, and OGP Operators at the Cotswold site operating over a 24/5 pattern. This will include ownership of shift performance, the daily organisation of tasks, the planning of team resource, use of the ERP (Epicor) and Quality System (ETQ), management of workflow, and maintaining associate records including absence and holidays. Key Responsibilities: Full compliance with all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The rigorous application of all cGMP principles and practices. Pro-actively manage the team to achieve the desired results. Ensure that staff are fully trained in all relevant Standard Operating Procedures and where necessary liaise with the Quality department to ensure that the procedures are workable. Precise use of Epicor for starting/stopping jobs, batch file pack creation, when required and printing of labels. Transactional Excellence at all times. Prioritise and plan in conjunction with the shift lead, shift activities to ensure the most effective utilisation of all resources. Ensure that machine utilisation is maximised and maintained and that any issues causing over-cycle conditions or machine "downtime" are managed to their successful conclusion. Ensure Health & Safety disciplines defined in the company Health & Safety Policy document with reference to the Health & Safety at Work act 1974 are enforced. Monitoring of training plan for all staff ensuring that they can carry out their duties to meet the demands of the business. Develop and maintain cross-functional relationships. Provide the relevant support functions with concise, documented reports of moulding issues and or opportunities for improvement. To be successful in this role, you will need: Experience working within a supervisory position Experience working within a medical device industry Moulding experience Good Microsoft skills Previous experience within a supervisory role Maths and English GCSEs or equivalent What will we give you?
