Renowned for their integrity, technical expertise, and trusted client partnerships, they operate across three core divisions to consistently deliver exceptional standards of service. They are now seeking a Head of Construction and Operations to join their expanding team based in Wiveliscombe. This is a full time permanent role with a salary of up to 80,000 depending on background and experience. Due to the nature of this role you will be office based in Wiveliscombe. The purpose of this role is to oversee construction performance, commercial progression, procurement, health 'safety, resource deployment, and broader facilities management. The Role Management or delivery of civil engineering solutions, including management of sub-contractors and groundworkers, covering small works (contract value Oversee procurement through purchase orders, goods received and supply management Manage the procurement function for civils-related stock, materials, hired-in plant and equipment Health & Safety manage risk assessments, policies and procedures, and the accident book Management and scheduling of resources across multiple concurrent sites and projects, including construction phase plans Fleet 'sub-contractor management ensuring fleet vehicles are MOT compliant, overseeing a portfolio of subcontractors, managing commercial arrangements and ensuring quality standards Broader Facilities Management project management of office moves, procurement activity, management of staff and training matrices Contract administration duties, including applications, certificates, CIS knowledge and commercial processes The Candidate Experience in a similar role with demonstrable career progression within the construction industry Experience managing civil engineering solutions Ability to lead on projects and use initiative Excellent communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong delegation skills Strong IT capabilities, including Excel and ERP systems A jack of all trades with a versatile, hands-on approach Desirable Skills / Qualifications Civil engineering experience in drainage and wastewater Recognised HSE qualification (IOSH, or similar) Experience in contract administration and management, including applications/certificates/CIS SMSTS qualification What Elite Staffing Will Do for You CV review and recommendations Support with covering letters if required Interview preparation assistance Ongoing updates and support throughout the recruitment process If this sounds like something of interest, please apply today.
