Were working with a highly respected main contractor delivering some of the North Wests most prestigious schemes with project values ranging from 70m to 80m across the commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and mixed-use sectors. Due to continued success and a strong pipeline of upcoming work, theyre looking to appoint a proven Build Manager to join their Manchester team and lead the full life cycle of major builds. The Role As Build Manager, youll be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of major projects from pre-construction involvement and bid support, right through to completion and client handover. Youll lead on all aspects of site delivery, ensuring safety, quality, and programme excellence across every stage. Key responsibilities include: Take full ownership of projects from pre-construction through to site handover Provide buildability and logistical input during tender and planning stages Lead and motivate site teams to deliver safely, on time, and to the highest standards Manage subcontractors, resources, and on-site operations efficiently Work closely with commercial, design, and pre-construction teams to achieve project goals Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental policies Represent the company at client meetings and progress reviews About You Youll be a confident and capable construction leader whos delivered high-value, technically demanding projects. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, have strong attention to detail, and can build effective relationships across all levels.
