HGV Furniture Delivery Driver Class 1 (CE) Temp to Perm Location: Doncaster Pay: 16.50 per hour Hours: Full-Time | Monday to Friday Start Times: 06:00 07:00 Recruit A Driver are currently looking for a Class 1 (CE) qualified HGV driver to join a well-established furniture manufacturer in Doncaster on a temp-to-perm basis . While the role is mostly Class 2 box vehicle work , applicants must hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence , as there will be occasional work with drawbar trailers and swap bodies . This is a hands-on delivery role handling high-quality furniture, mainly sofas, to trade warehouses and retail outlets . This is not a two-person delivery role , so drivers need to be confident working independently with large, bulky items. What the Role Involves Drive Class 2 box vehicles as the main vehicle Occasional work with drawbar trailers and swap bodies Deliver furniture (mainly sofas) to trade warehouses and retail outlets Complete up to 6 local drops per shift All deliveries within the local region Monday to Friday only no weekends No overnight stays required Furniture supplied on wheels for easier handling Minimal stairs; access is generally straightforward Customers may assist, but drivers must be comfortable working solo Requirements Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence essential Minimum 12 months HGV driving experience Previous experience delivering furniture or large goods preferred Confident with manual handling and independent work Strong communication and customer service skills Professional and reliable approach to work Why Apply?
