The Role As National Account Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of existing accounts , driving profitable growth through first-class account management, sharp commercial thinking, and collaborative execution. You will be trusted to run your accounts end-to-end, shaping customer strategy, leading negotiations, and delivering joint business plans that align retailer objectives with the companys ambitious growth targets. This is a role for a solid pair of hands : someone comfortable operating at pace, making decisions, and owning outcomes. Working closely with brand, marketing, category, supply chain, and finance teams, youll play a central role in translating strategy into commercial success. What Youll Be Responsible For Full ownership of sales, volume and spend targets across national accounts Delivering robust joint business plans that drive profitable, sustainable growth Leading customer negotiations and securing commercially sound agreements Developing and executing customer-specific strategies aligned to wider business objectives Planning, managing and reviewing promotions, pricing and trade spend with a strong ROI focus Analysing sales performance and providing clear insight against turnover, value and spend KPIs Working cross-functionally to deliver compelling range reviews, promotions and commercial proposals Identifying opportunities to grow distribution, improve shelf presence and support NPD listings Collaborating with supply chain to align forecasts, availability and promotional volumes Providing data-led insight to brand and product teams to influence future development Supporting forecasting, volume planning, launches and post-launch reviews Monitoring market, competitor and retailer activity including occasional store visits What Were Looking For Proven FMCG National Account Management experience (typically 35+ years) Strong track record of managing national retailers and delivering commercial results Confident negotiator with experience of joint business planning Commercially astute, with solid financial understanding of margin, ROI and profit drivers Excellent communicator and relationship builder at all levels Highly organised, resilient and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Self-starter mindset proactive, accountable and delivery-focused Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to interpret and present data clearly Desirable: Degree-level education What Youll Get A high-profile role within a market-leading, fast-growing FMCG business The opportunity to step into a position created by promotion and business success Real autonomy and influence over customer strategy A strong, focused and ambitious commercial team Clear, achievable progression opportunities as the business continues to grow TPBN1_UKTJ
