Our clinic delivers specialist neurodevelopmental assessments, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessments for adults, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based practice, clinical integrity, and patient-centred care.Role OverviewWe are seeking a suitably qualified and HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist to conduct comprehensive adult ASD assessments. The role involves face-to-face assessments near Epping, with flexibility for remote scoring, formulation, and report writing.This post is ideal for an experienced clinician who values high diagnostic standards and compassionate, neuro-affirmative practice.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical DutiesConduct comprehensive adult ASD diagnostic assessments in line with NICE guidance and best practice.Use recognised diagnostic tools and frameworks (e.g. ADOS-2, ADI-R, clinical interviews, collateral histories).Complete detailed developmental histories and psychosocial assessments.Formulate diagnostic conclusions and provide clear, evidence-based feedback to patients.Reporting & DocumentationProduce high-quality, timely diagnostic reports suitable for clinical, occupational, and statutory use.Ensure reports meet professional, ethical, and organisational standards.Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in line with GDPR and HCPC requirements.Multi-Disciplinary WorkingWork collaboratively with psychiatrists, therapists, and administrative staff.Contribute to MDT discussions where required.Liaise with referrers and other professionals as appropriate.Governance & QualityAdhere to HCPC standards of proficiency and professional conduct.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in ASD assessment.Participate in clinical audits, peer review, and supervision as required.Person SpecificationEssentialDoctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy or equivalent).HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist.Demonstrable experience conducting adult ASD assessments.Competence in the use of recognised diagnostic tools (e.g. ADOS-2).Strong diagnostic formulation and report-writing skills.Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.Availability to conduct in-person assessments near Epping.DesirableAdditional training or accreditation in ASD assessment tools (e.g. ADOS-2 reliability).Experience working within private practice or neurodevelopmental services.Familiarity with NICE guidelines for ASD in adults.Experience providing post-diagnostic feedback or signposting.Key AttributesClinically rigorous and detail-orientedNeuro-affirmative and patient-centredProfessional, reliable, and compassionateConfident communicatorWhat We OfferCompetitive renumeration package Flexible working arrangementsAdministrative supportSupportive and collaborative MDTOpportunity to contribute to a growing neurodevelopmental service
