As a Banksperson , youll provide expert guidance and direction to drivers when manoeuvring HGV vehicles in challenging spaces, helping to prevent hazards and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations. This is a hands-on role where youll assist with loading and unloading equipment, setting out signage and barriers, and supporting essential wastewater operations such as emptying cesspits, septic tanks, and pumping stations. Youll also help maintain and clean commercial and domestic wastewater assets, ensuring our communities stay safe and functional. Well provide you with all the tools, uniform, safety boots, and PPE you need to succeed. In return, were looking for someone who can work outdoors in all weathers, handle physically demanding tasks, and take pride in delivering a high-quality service. What you'll be doing Assist the tanker driver when manoeuvring HGV vehicle, where parking and or reversing is difficult. Direct the vehicle into position safely, avoiding hazards such as overhead cables, soft verges, or underground services. Loading and unloading the equipment from the tanker, put out signage, cones, and barriers as instructed by the driver. Lifting the manhole covers emptying of cesspits, septic tanks, sewage treatment plants and pumping stations. Maintain and provide jetting and cleaning of all commercial and domestic wastewater assets, general repairs to drainage systems within communal areas, and neighbourhoods. What you'll need Youll be able to collaborate with drivers for effective vehicle movement. Youll be able to safely direct vehicle movements on work site and help drivers make safe manoeuvres around work area. Youll need to be prepared for heavy lifting and physically demanding work. Youll have previous experience emptying cesspits, septic tanks, sewage treatment plants and pumping stations. Youll have a good knowledge of drainage systems, operation of high-pressure water jetting and drain cleaning.
