Our clinic delivers specialist neurodevelopmental assessments, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessments for adults, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based practice, clinical integrity, and patient-centred care.Role Overview We are seeking a suitably qualified and HCPC-registeredClinical Psychologistto conductcomprehensive adult ASD assessments . The role involves face-to-face assessments near Epping, with flexibility for remote scoring, formulation, and report writing. This post is ideal for an experienced clinician who values high diagnostic standards and compassionate, neuro-affirmative practice.Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties Conduct comprehensiveadult ASD diagnostic assessmentsin line with NICE guidance and best practice. Use recognised diagnostic tools and frameworks (e.g. ADOS-2, ADI-R, clinical interviews, collateral histories). Complete detailed developmental histories and psychosocial assessments. Formulate diagnostic conclusions and provide clear, evidence-based feedback to patients. Reporting & Documentation Produce high-quality, timely diagnostic reports suitable for clinical, occupational, and statutory use. Ensure reports meet professional, ethical, and organisational standards. Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in line with GDPR and HCPC requirements. Multi-Disciplinary Working Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, therapists, and administrative staff. Contribute to MDT discussions where required. Liaise with referrers and other professionals as appropriate. Governance & Quality Adhere to HCPC standards of proficiency and professional conduct. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in ASD assessment. Participate in clinical audits, peer review, and supervision as required.Person Specification Essential Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy or equivalent). HCPC registrationas a Clinical Psychologist. Demonstrable experience conductingadult ASD assessments . Competence in the use of recognised diagnostic tools (e.g. ADOS-2). Strong diagnostic formulation and report-writing skills. Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively. Availability to conductin-person assessments near Epping . Desirable Additional training or accreditation in ASD assessment tools (e.g. ADOS-2 reliability). Experience working within private practice or neurodevelopmental services. Familiarity with NICE guidelines for ASD in adults.
