Operating across multiple UK locations, our client supports a diverse range of activities including specialist flying operations, capability development and aircraft maintenance.The organisation is entering the next phase of a long-term aviation and defence-related programme and is expanding its engineering capability at a key site in Wiltshire. This role offers the opportunity to work in a highly unique operational environment, supporting a specialist aircraft platform used for advanced test and development activity.About the roleAircraft Mechanics and Avionic Technicians play a vital role in maintaining the safety, reliability and availability of the aircraft. Working alongside Licensed Engineers and reporting to the Station Engineer, you will support line maintenance activities in accordance with regulatory and organisational procedures.This is a weekday, non-shift role, offering excellent worklife balance.Working hours:MondayThursday: 08:00 16:45Friday: 08:00 15:30Key responsibilities include:Assisting Licensed Aircraft Engineers with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on large commercial aircraftCarrying out routine inspections and supporting defect rectification activitiesSupporting modification programmes and avionics upgrade activitiesAccurately recording maintenance tasks in accordance with regulatory requirementsMaintaining a safe, clean and well-organised working environmentAdhering to all safety, compliance and quality procedures at all timesSupporting work at other UK sites as required by operational needsAircraft & trainingAll staff will initially support Boeing 757 aircraftExperience on any Boeing aircraft will be advantageousCandidates without direct 757 experience will be considered, as type training can be providedAccommodation will be provided during training periodsFuture progression onto Boeing 737 NG aircraft is plannedAbout youWe are keen to hear from candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:Mechanical (B1 Mech)Avionics (B2 Mech)Sheet metal / structuresYou will also ideally have:Proven experience as an Aircraft Mechanic or Avionic TechnicianExperience working on large aircraft (essential)Background within a Part 145 MRO environmentAbility to interpret technical manuals, drawings and maintenance documentationStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skillsHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality and safetyGood communication skills and ability to work effectively within a teamEligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance (mandatory)Whats on offerSalary of 44,000 per annum25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (from day one)5% matched pension schemeGroup Life InsuranceHealth & wellbeing benefits including a Healthcare Cash Plan and Employee Assistance ProgrammeFunded type training and accommodation during trainingStable MondayFriday working pattern with no shiftsDiversity & inclusionOur client is committed to equitable treatment, encouraging diversity and embracing inclusion throughout the recruitment process and across the workforce. xjdpvnf They are proud to support Disability Confident principles and welcome applications from all suitably qualified individuals.
