The RoleReporting to the Engineering Manager, youll play a key role in maintaining and improving our production and site services equipment. This is a practical, varied role where no two days are the same.Youll be:Responding quickly to breakdowns and carrying out effective electrical and mechanical fault-findingMaintaining and repairing production machinery including conveyors, evisceration equipment, packing machines, and chillersCompleting planned preventative maintenance and supporting continuous improvementFault-finding on PLC-controlled systems, motors, drives, sensors, and control panelsCarrying out mechanical work on gearboxes, bearings, pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic fabricationWorking closely with production and hygiene teams to minimise downtimeSupporting shutdowns, installations, and site engineering projectsRecording all work accurately using the site CMMSEnsuring all tasks meet strict food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards What Were Looking ForYoull be a confident, safety-focused engineer who can think on their feet in a high-volume environment.Essential:Recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)Multi-skilled engineer with a strong electrical biasSolid mechanical fault-finding experience in a manufacturing environmentGood working knowledge of PLC fault-finding, motors, inverters, sensors, and control systemsExperience with pneumatics and hydraulicsUnderstanding of permit-to-work, isolation, and lock-off proceduresDesirable:Experience in food, FMCG, or poultry processing environments Training & DevelopmentWe invest in our people.
