How does this role contribute to our collective success?The Property Binders Team is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team and support the delivery of the business plan focusing through effective underwriting and delegated authority management. The focus will be on international territories including but not limited to Europe, Australia and New Zealand.The role includes managing Coverholders/Binders to ensure performance meets financial and operational metrics, while aligning with audit, conduct risk, and compliance requirements. Your work will help create good customer outcomes across the insurance lifecycle and contribute to AXIS’s reputation for excellence and integrity.What will you do in this role?Underwrite new and renewal delegated business within agreed authority and support referral underwriting where required.Build and maintain Coverholder relationships and Binding Authority Agreements, ensuring performance aligns with business objectives.Liaise with Brokers and Coverholders to identify and develop new business opportunities.Conduct regular Coverholder reviews and maintain strong working relationships.Collaborate with Conduct Risk and Compliance teams to ensure delegated authority standards are met.Communicate underwriting, audit, and conduct risk issues to the Unit Head or Deputy.Monitor and report emerging risks or control failures using formal channels.Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of underwriting systems and binder records.Coordinate delegated authority processes and support internal/external audits.Contribute to a culture that prioritizes fair treatment of customers and continuous improvement.You may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.About You:We encourage you to bring your own experience and expertise to the table, so while there are some qualifications and experiences, we need you to have, we are open to discussing how your individual knowledge might lend itself to fulfilling this role and help us achieve our goals.What you need to have:Understanding of delegated underwritingFamiliarity with FCA, PRA, and Lloyd’s compliance requirements.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and underwriting systems (Examples being PowerBI, IRIS, Swordfish, Desktop etc).Ability to analyse data and present insights clearly and appropriately.Influencing, negotiating, listening, and questioning skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing time effectively.What we prefer you to have:Knowledge of Property and Delegated Authority Underwriting.Preference to include delegated underwriting knowledge in international territories including Europe, Australia and New ZealandUnderstanding of CAT models and actuarial methods Commercial mindset and ability to work under pressure.Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.Ability to build trust and communicate effectively across stakeholders.Exceptional attention to detail and written communication skills.Focus on profitability and results.Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and support colleagues.ACII qualified or significant progress to completionRole Factors:In this role, you will typically be required to:Be in the office 3 days per week.Attend broker meetings and events as requiredTravel internationallyWhat we offer:You will be eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package which includes medical plans for you and your family, health and wellness programs, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, paid annual leave, and much more.
