Radio Engineer (Permeant)Location: Heathrow (Longford)Salary: £35,000–£40,000 (flexible for the right experience)Working pattern: Onsite, Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm We’re recruiting for an experienced Radio Service Engineer to support critical radio communications across Heathrow Airport, with occasional work at other London transport locations.This is a hands-on, onsite contract role, suited to someone who lives locally and is comfortable working in secure, operational environments. The role also carries responsibility for leading a small team of three engineers on day-to-day activities. Travel outside Heathrow is typically no more than one or two days at a time.Day-to-day responsibilities include:Repairing and maintaining two-way radio equipmentInstalling and maintaining radios in vehiclesSupporting desktop radio systems with ground-to-air capabilityInstalling and maintaining indoor DAS systemsSupporting radio infrastructure, primarily Simoco and Hytera, with some MotorolaFault-finding and resolving radio communication issues on live operational systemsCompany vans are provided. A standby rota is in place and already staffed. Overtime is limited. What We’re Looking For:Proven experience working with UHF/VHF radio systemsTwo-way radio / DMR engineering experienceSC clearable, including a minimum of 5 years working in the UK with a clean, consistent employment historyAble to commute reliably to Heathrow (Longford)Full UK driving licenceComfortable taking responsibility for day-to-day task coordination within a small engineering team Apply Now!
