As our Senior Planning Manager you will over live sites, tendering and the development of assistant/project planners.Projects typically range from 60m to 200m and are often on restricted city centre sites that require a careful consideration of logistics and phasing.Candidates will have extensive knowledge and experience of pre- construction planning. Looks for different application of existing ideas and generation of new ideas to deliver improvements to the businessMore about the Senior Planner roleDevelop the accuracy of our forward planning and accurate forecast for project completion across the businessCreating, maintaining and reviewing programmes of workLiaising with surveyors, engineers and architects and other applicable partiesProducing progress reports and forecasts for team members, clients and stakeholdersMeeting with contractors and suppliers as requiredCompleting tender bids, working with estimating teams and producing programmes/logistical diagrams and construction strategiesManaging several projects with the support of junior plannersWorking between offices and construction sitesProvide weekly and monthly reports on progress against programme & input into the production progress reports as applicableAcquire consistent and accurate data from project team and suppliers for measuring progressParticipate in the communication of the programme to the production team to ensure they understand the constraints, risks and issuesLiaise with external contractors and suppliers to organise the phases of the construction developmentPlanning contingency programmes in case timeframes changeCreating, maintaining and reviewing programmes of workProducing progress reports and forecasts for team members, clients and stakeholdersLiaising with managers and engineers to discuss the progress of the project and address any issues that ariseTo be an integral member of the team providing a planning & programming service to a portfolio of residential projects in all stages of the project lifecycleProvide a structured approach in the development and management of the project time model, including providing advice on appropriate phasing strategies and construction methods, identification of constraints, risks and other issuesUtilise all available expertise within the organisation and the supply chain to develop the most innovative solutions and opportunities for the projectManage and co-ordinate the programme information from 3rd parties client, consultants, suppliers etcDevelop and communicate the optimum project time model through all phases of the proposed project including planning, design, procurement, pre-construction, construction, commissioning, handover and occupationProactively seek data and learning experience from current and past projects to inform & challenge of new programmesFinally, lets tell you a bit more about usWe build more than homes, were making Vistry.
