Business Development Manager - Premium Spirits (2 x roles)Location: Hybrid Working. These will be field based roles with a strong focus on the South-West and Central South specifically Wiltshire, Devon, Dorset, Somerset,Regular distillery visits will be required Distillery post code SP3 5SGAbout UsWe are a premium English spirits distillery based in the Southwest, crafting exceptional gins, vodkas, and currently maturing English single malt whiskies. Each bottle tells the story of our commitment to traditional craftsmanship combined with meticulous and innovative distilling techniques, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. As we continue to grow, we are looking to expand our sales team with two key new roles now available.We have recently achieved B Corp status.Available PositionsRole 1: Business Development Manager – Exeter based (or close to)Territory: Plymouth, Exeter, Taunton, Paignton, Torquay, YeovilRole 2: Business Development Manager – Wiltshire, East Somerset, North Dorset, South OxfordshireTerritory: Bath, Swindon, Salisbury, South Cotswolds including OxfordThe RoleWe're seeking dynamic Business Development Managers for two key territories to join our growing team. These exciting opportunities involve representing our premium spirits portfolio across the on-trade and independent off-trade sectors, building relationships with key accounts and establishing our growing brand as a key player in the premium spirits category.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and expand our presence in on-trade venues (bars, restaurants, hotels) and independent off-trade outlets across assigned territoryBuild and maintain strong relationships with buyers, managers, and key decision makersWorking alongside our distribution partners to engage with their sales teams and drive rate of saleConduct compelling product tastings and brand education sessionsIdentify and secure new business opportunities to meet growth targetsCreate and implement effective account development plansProvide regular market intelligence and competitor analysisWork collaboratively with our marketing team to execute successful brand activation'sRepresent the brand at industry events, tastings, and trade showsWork evening shifts as required to engage with bars, restaurants, and other on-trade venuesSupport the team at various industry events throughout the yearRequirementsPrior experience in drinks sales, cocktail knowledge, premium hospitalityEstablished network of on-trade and independent retail contacts is advantageousExcellent knowledge of the premium spirits market and current trendsStrong presentation and negotiation skillsSelf-motivated with excellent time management abilitiesFlexibility to work some evenings for client relationship buildingPassion for craft spirits and the story behind the productExcellent knowledge of the specified areasFull UK driving licenseDesired QualitiesWSET qualification (Level 2 or above) preferred but not essentialExperience working with craft/artisanal brandsUnderstanding of sustainable practices in the spirits industryRelevant contacts and connections within the Southwest hospitality sector.Enthusiasm for English-produced spiritsWhat We OfferCompetitive salary: £32,000-£36,000 per annum dependent on experienceCar allowancePerformance-related bonus schemeProduct allocationOngoing training, development and career progressionAdditional benefits package, including discounted stock, tours, etc.The opportunity to be part of a growing, innovative spirits brand with sustainability at its heartIf you have a passion for premium spirits, a talent for building relationships, and want to be part of our journey to establish our spirits as the finest in England, we'd love to hear from you.
