Job DescriptionBefore applying for this role, please read the following information about this opportunity found below.Closing Date: 19th January 2026Contract Type: Permanent, Part TimeSalary: 6,880Hours:10 per weekLocation: Dunblane LibraryAn exciting opportunity has arisen at Stirling Council for a Cleaning Assistant at Dunblane Library.The post will involve providing 10 hours per week professional cleaning service on a 52.2 weeks per year basis, 2hrs per day which are flexible out with library opening hours as detailed below.Monday: 9am to 1pm, 2pm to 5pmTuesday: 9am to 1pm, 2pm to 7pmWednesday: 9am to 12pmThursday: 9am to 1pm, 2pm to 7pmFriday: 9am to 1pm, 2pm to 5pmPaid at Stirling Council Grade 1, applicants should be capable of lifting heavy items, using cleaning machinery including electric buffing machines, scrubber dryers and vacuum cleaners. They should be able to clean surfaces to head height and be prepared to work alone.Personal protective equipment, tools and training will be provided.Applicants will also require a basic working knowledge of IT and be willing to undertake training to allow them to utilise Stirling Council online training and human resources IT applications.The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children and Adults.If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be asked to complete the form and have your details verified.If youve got the right skills for the job we want to hear from you.
