Instrumentation & Controls EngineerLocation: Hertfordshire A science-led organisation within the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer (Instrumentation & Controls) to join its Engineering and Facilities team, supporting a regulated manufacturing and laboratory environment.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out corrective and preventative instrumentation maintenance via CMMSRespond to breakdowns and support fault findingEnsure preventative maintenance schedules are completed on timeIdentify and support improvements to maintenance plansComplete all maintenance documentation in line with GxP standardsSupport small engineering projects, installations, and commissioningMaintain spares, materials, and equipment availabilityEnsure all work is completed safely and in compliance with site standardsLiaise with stakeholders to minimise disruption and communicate progressTechnical ExperienceTemperature, humidity, and pressure instrument loopsBMS-monitored HVAC systemsReactor systems, stability chambers, cold rooms, and pressure cascadesInstrumentation fault finding and calibration in regulated environmentsBeneficial ExperiencePurified Water systemsAgitator speed sensorsMCERT flowmetersVOC gas analysersCandidate ProfileCompleted engineering apprenticeship or equivalentPost-apprenticeship experience in instrumentation / controls maintenanceRecognised engineering qualification preferredExperience working in GxP or regulated manufacturing environmentsStrong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skillsSafety-focused, proactive, and team-oriented
