GVR Solutions are working with a well-established specialist carpentry and joinery contractor based in Kent, delivering high-quality packages across the residential sector. Known for their craftsmanship, reliability, and long-standing client relationships, they are now seeking an experienced Operations Manager to support the next stage of their growth.As Operations Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operational performance of the business, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This is a senior, hands-on role, working closely with directors, commercial teams, site managers, and subcontractors.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and manage multiple carpentry and joinery projects from pre-start through to completionCoordinate site teams, supervisors, and subcontract labourEnsure programmes, labour plans, and material schedules are effectively managedDrive health 'safety compliance across all sitesMonitor project performance, identifying risks and implementing solutionsLiaise with clients, main contractors, and suppliers to maintain strong working relationshipsSupport commercial performance alongside QS / commercial teamsContribute to continuous improvement of operational systems and procedures Requirements:Proven experience in an Operations Manager / Senior Contracts Manager roleStrong background within carpentry and joinery or interior fit-outExperience managing multiple live projects simultaneouslyExcellent leadership, communication, and organisational skillsStrong understanding of construction health 'safety regulationsCommercially aware with a problem-solving mindsetFull UK driving licenceWhat’s on Offer:Competitive salary (DOE)Company vehicle or car allowanceLong-term, stable role within a respected specialist contractorOpportunity to play providing role in business growth and strategySupportive, professional working environment
