PE Global is currently recruiting for a Supplier Development Engineer for a leading multi-national engine manufacturing client based in Shrewsbury or Stafford.This is an initial 12 month contract position based on site 5 days a week.Pay Rate is £31.62ph PAYE or £42.92ph Umbrella.Duties of the role/Responsibilities Providing a link between the supplier and the various facilities.Working with suppliers to develop a relationship and ensure the suppliers are proactively working to close any gaps in their processes to improve quality.Identify any improvement opportunities in the supplier’s process by conducting process audits to ensure that robust process controls are in place to prevent nonconformities.Continuously monitoring supplier’s manufacturing processes and quality management system for trends and improvements.Assist suppliers with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP,CPPD) activities.Including feasibility studies and project planning.NPI New Product Introduction. Review supplier proposal for processing new items.Challenge the suppliers process to ensure adequate due diligence.Dealing with daily quality issues at part number level ensuring the facilities have provided adequate information in order for the supplier to fully understand the specific problem.Working with suppliers to identify route cause.Education/Experience Microsoft 365 packages knowledge such as PowerPoint, Excel and Word.Between 3-5 years experience.Foundry and machining environment experience preferred.Reading and understanding engineering drawing and specs is essential.Experience of metrology equipment for demonstrating conformance to various standards is essential within the role.APQP and PPAP experience is highly desirable.Interested candidates should submit an updated CV.Please click the link below to apply***Please note our client cannot assist with any visa sponsorship and candidates must have the correct visa to live and work in UK***
