Tripod are currently recruiting for an Physiotherapist to work in the Eastbourne area.Up to £35 an hourWorking Hours - Full time preferred Duration : ASAP - OngoingApply now or refer a friend for £500.You will be providing a Physiotherapy service to clients with diverse or complexpresentations, working within the community as part of an inter-professional teamWe aim to support clients to regain their skills, confidence and independence toremain at home safely.Within this role, you will have a clinical caseload where you will provideassessment of the client’s needs and create and implement intervention plans withthe client and multi-disciplinary team in order to facilitate safe and timelydischarge plans with reduced ongoing support where possible. You will have thesupport and guidance of a senior therapist.The therapy team is always evolving and you will have the opportunity to be a partof service development initiatives and ideas to ensure the service is compliant withdepartmental and organisational policies as well as HCPC code of conduct. You willalso have the opportunity to provide education and health promotion to staff,clients and their families.Key Tasks:1. Work as part of an inter-professional team with supervision. To undertakeinterprofessional assessments and independently manage and key work acaseload which will include routine and complex patients who requirerehabilitation and reablement.2. Negotiate goals with clients and motivate them to participate in treatment toachieve these goals. To formulate, deliver and evaluate individualphysiotherapy treatment programmes using clinical assessment, reasoning skillsand knowledge of treatment skills e.g. manual physiotherapy techniques,health promotion, provision of equipment, gait re-education, posturalmanagement and graduated exercise programmes.3. Provide regular communication and advice to clients, relatives, GP’s and otherhealth and social care professionals. This may be in person, or via telephone,email or letter.4. Explain to and educate clients about their condition, which may require themto overcome barriers to communication such as language differences andcomplex neurological impairment.5. Initiate and participate in multi-agency team meetings and case conferences /reviews; liaising with colleagues, other professionals and both statutory andvoluntary agencies for the benefit of the individual client.6. Work within an interprofessional framework with other Multi-disciplinaryprofessional staff, working positively within the team and attend teammeetings and training as required.7. Participate in the development of an interprofessional working environment,delegating appropriately to Rehabilitations Support Workers and TherapyAssistants assisting in the training of staff and students within the Department.8. Supervise Therapy Assistants and educate other professionals or otherdisciplines, Therapy Assistants and students within the inter-professional team.9. Maintain accurate record keeping and data collection in-line with the service,organisation and HCPC guidelines and undertake the administrative worknecessary for the service.10. Ensure professional registration and standards are maintained and work withinthe HCPC professional code of ethics. To work as an autonomous professionalaccording to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) “Rules ofProfessional conduct” and “Standards of Physiotherapy” and the Health andCare Professions Council (HCPC) regulations, working without the need fordirect supervision. Access to advice and support from a more seniorphysiotherapist is available if required.
