Position: SHEQ AdvisorLocation: Cambridge & Surrounding AreasSalary: up to £50,000 + Car / Car AllowanceAn established and growing Civil Engineering contractor is seeking a SHE Advisor to join their Eastern region on a permanent basis. You will play a key role in maintaining high SHE standards across multiple live projects while supporting operational teams and senior management.SHEQ Advisor Salary & BenefitsSalary upto £50,000 DOECompany car or car allowanceDiscretionary bonus scheme23 days holiday plus bank holidays (rising with service)Long service awardsPension contributions (employer 3.5%)Employee Assistance Programme (access to same-day GP, mental health, physio and more)Healthy Living Policy (gym membership contributions after probation)Hours: 07:30 – 16:30Long-term career progression within a growing regional businessSHEQ Advisor Job OverviewNEBOSH, IOSH or another recognised Health & Safety qualificationProven experience working as a SHEQ / Health & Safety Advisor within constructionExperience within civil engineering, groundworks or residential projects (advantageous)Ability to work independently while contributing to wider regional and company objectivesStrong audit, reporting and compliance monitoring skillsIT literate with good written and verbal communication skillsFull UK driving licenceSHEQ Advisor Job RequirementsProvide professional advice and support to senior management and site teams on SHEAttend pre-commencement and pre-start meetings to contribute to early project planning and risk managementAssist with statutory notices and ensure compliance with relevant legislationEscalate serious breaches of company policy, procedures or legislation to senior managementPromote and embed a positive Health & Safety culture across the businessSupport the Regional SHEQ Manager with the development of SHEQ strategies and internal policiesProduce, review and communicate RAMSCarry out planned site inspections, audits and ensure follow-up actions are completedIdentify training needs and deliver site-based training and toolbox talksInvestigate accidents, incidents and near-misses, producing reports and recommendationsEnsure full compliance with CDM Regulations and other applicable statutory requirements
