Senior Technical Manager£65-70k + £7k CA North LondonI'm currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Technical Manager / Quality Assurance Manager to join a leading food and beverage retailer at their North London office. You will be responsible for leading the QA team to ensure that all food and product safety requirements are met alongside maintaining the high levels of brand quality. Some of your duties will include -· This role is expected to play a key role in helping shape the culture, standards, and strategy across the whole team· Review and develop effective QA processes for the brand, liaising with product development and specifications management partners in support.· Develop collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders· Develop and ensure adherence to nationally agreed UK policies.· Ensure appropriate and timely approval of new suppliers for quality assurance and responsible sourcing.· Ensure new and existing supplier conformance to agreed quality standards, managing internal remedial audits and supplier quality and responsible retailing communications.· Ensure product complaints and supplier quality issues are managed and closed out effectively.· Develop, train, maintain and run an effective crisis management process, and deal with issues raised by enforcement authorities.· Manage and develop an effective Finished Good Specifications process · Represent the brand at all relevant external stakeholder meetings associated with Quality, food safety, legislation and responsible retailing, ensuring appropriate deputy in place in support· Develop and deliver on Responsible Retailing strategy and plans.· Lead, develop and support technical team members.Key requirements for the role -Proven previous QA/ Technical management experience within a fast-moving FMCG / Food environment.Educated to degree level in Food Science or equivalent with L4 HACCPStrong knowledge of the impact of food safety legislation on NPDAbility to influence and negotiate effectively.Able to adapt swiftly in a fast paced, ever changing retail market.Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levelsIf you think you have the right Technical experience and looking for a new opportunity to develop your career with a thriving grocery retailer, then get in touch and apply today
