The role requires a strategic, customer-focused approach, with an emphasis on expanding the brand's presence in luxury retail, high-end hospitality, and corporate gifting sectors, while protecting its premium image and heritage.This is a field-based role that requires frequent travel to meet with potential and existing clients, attend industry events, and liaising with the wider team at multiple sites including but not limited to London and Dorset.Your responsibilities:New business development including proactively identifying and engaging with high-end prospective clients.Building and maintaining long-term partnerships with existing B2B clients and identifying new opportunities.Developing and executing a business development strategy that aligns with the company brand.Collaborating with stakeholders including marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to support growth initiatives and ensure seamless customer experience.Active market analysis to stay on top of trends, competitor activity, and identify emerging opportunities.Managing the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead qualification to negotiation and closing deals.Preparing regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and market analyses.Being one of our leading brand ambassadors at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to raise the profile of Charbonnel et Walker. What we are looking for:Industry experience: Proven track record in B2B sales or business development, preferably within the luxury food, confectionery, or hospitality industries.Commercial acumen: Strong negotiation, commercial, and financial skills, with the ability to identify growth opportunities and exceed sales targets.Networking and relationship building: Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills to engage with key decision-makers and secure long-term partnerships.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate a premium brand's value proposition.Entrepreneurial mindset: A proactive and energetic self-starter with the initiative and drive to seek out new business.Technical skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) to manage sales pipelines and report effectively.Education: A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a relevant field is desirable or equivalent industry experience.
