Transport Broker / Trader - Logistics Location: Hinckley, LE10 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: 34,000 - 38,000+ per annum Overview We are recruiting an experienced Transport Broker / Trader to join a busy subcontract haulage operation. This role supports customers across manufacturing, retail and logistics, delivering transport solutions from single pallets through to nationwide distribution. Key Responsibilities Resource and allocate loads daily, achieving best possible margins Schedule deliveries in line with customer expectations Proactively source additional work via transport trading platforms Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers Maintain regular communication with subcontract hauliers Monitor delivery performance and manage any delays Work to operational KPIs and business targets Ensure all information is accurate and up to date within the TMS Participate in an on-call rota Skills & Experience Required Proven experience as a Transport Broker / Transport Trader Strong background negotiating transport rates with subcontractors Good knowledge of UK transport legislation (drivers' hours, WTD, vehicles) Detailed understanding of the UK general haulage market Strong UK geographical knowledge Confident communicator with excellent telephone skills PC literate, with ability to learn transport management systems quickly What's on Offer Competitive salary 34,000 - 38,000+ Company bonus scheme Company pension Additional leave entitlement Free on-site parking Career development opportunities as the business grows Location Requirement Must be able to reliably commute to Hinckley (LE10) or be willing to relocate prior to starting Experience Logistics / Transport: minimum 1 year preferred Work Location: On-site To apply or request further information, please submit your CV or contact us directly.
