Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Bromley About the Role Academics are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in a specialist provision in Bromley, supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will provide 1:1 and group support to help students access the curriculum, engage in learning, and develop confidence and resilience in a structured, nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities Support students with SEMH needs in accessing academic lessons Work 1:1 or in small groups to deliver tailored learning activities Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation in line with provision policies Build strong, trusting relationships with students Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff Maintain accurate records of student progress and report as required Essential Requirements Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies Ability to motivate, engage and encourage students in learning Empathetic, patient, and resilient approach Good communication and teamwork skills Right to work in the UK
