Job | Assistant Project ManagerCompany | Specialist M&E ContractorAreas | M&E ProjectsTech | Electrical SystemsDevelopment | Progression to PMLocation | South Yorkshire – UK travel (hybrid)Offer | £30k-£40k + private medical + bonus + life assuranceA unique opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Project Manager to join a well-established M&E contractor delivering complex big ticket projects across the UK.This role is well suited to an individual with early-stage project management or site-based experience who is keen to accelerate their progression into a full Project Manager position.Working closely with Project Managers and Senior Project Managers, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of multiple projects.You will be joining a collaborative and supportive team that offers genuine long-term career development and a clearly defined progression pathway.You’ll do all of this whilst gaining valuable niche M&E expertise which will propel your earnings ahead of other construction / Civils peers.Role OverviewSupport the planning, organisation, and delivery of M&E projects from inception to completionAssist with project programmes, documentation, procurement, and progress reportingLiaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure effective communicationSupport the preparation of RAMS, variations, project costings, and tender documentation. CDM experience is a plus.Attend site visits, carry out inspections, and assist with the management of subcontractors and site supervisorsHelp manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring quality, programme, and budget targets are metAssist in resolving site-based issues and promote a proactive, solutions-focused approachCandidate RequirementsExperience in a construction or project coordination role (e.g. Assistant Project Manager, Trainee PM, Site Supervisor, Technical Coordinator)Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesConfident communicator, comfortable engaging with site teams and stakeholdersFull UK driving licence – this role will involve a lot of travel and face time on site.Strong ambition to progress into a Project Manager roleSalary & Benefits£30,000 – £40,000 salary, dependent on experiencePermanent, full-time positionPrivate medical insuranceLife assuranceCompany mobile phoneEnhanced workplace pensionDiscretionary performance-related bonusStructured and supported progression route to Project ManagerIf you're ready to step up your progression game and play a key role in shaping how these projects move forward, we’d love to hear from you.Important Information: Talentometry are accredited members of the Association of Professional Staffing Companies.
