Flood Risk & Drainage EngineerLocation: Richmond, London Type: Full-time, Permanent Working Model: Hybrid (flexible working supported) Experience Level: 2-4 years A leading Civil & Environmental Engineering Consultancy is seeking a Flood Risk & Drainage Engineer to join their team in Richmond, London. With a strong reputation for sustainable design and public sector work-including with Transport for London and local authorities-you'll be supported to develop your technical skills and grow your career in a collaborative, inclusive environment. Your RoleYou'll support the delivery of drainage and flood risk projects from early-stage feasibility to detailed design. Responsibilities include: Designing SuDS and drainage systems using MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage or Causeway FlowAssisting with Flood Risk Assessments and planning submissionsProducing technical drawings with AutoCADLiaising with internal teams, clients, and local authoritiesSupporting junior colleagues and learning from senior engineersWhat You'll Bring2-4 years' UK consultancy experienceUnderstanding of SuDS, drainage policy, and planningExperience with AutoCAD and drainage design softwareStrong written and verbal communication skillsA degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or similar)Desirable: Knowledge of CDM Regs, foul drainage, GIS, Civil 3D, or local authority experience.
