Fire Alarm Installation Engineer Location: Field-Based (London area)Job Type: Full-Time/PermanentSalary: Competitive + company van/mobile + benefitsReports to: Project ManagerCompany Overview:Firetecnics is one of London’s most trusted LPCB-certified fire safety company, with one of the best reputation within the industry for over 35 years.Firetecnics is part of the Helix International Group Ltd, which is experiencing growth of 30% year on year.Expanding in London and serving the Property industry.Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fire Alarm Installation Engineer to join our growing team.You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning of small-scale fire detection and alarm system projects across a variety of commercial & residential sites.This is a field-based role requiring technical expertise, customer interaction, and a proactive attitude.Key Responsibilities:Install, commission, and test fire detection and alarm systems in accordance with BS 5839-1 and client requirementsCarry out small works installations, including modifications and upgrades to existing systemsComplete detailed job reports, commissioning certificates, and handover documentationLiaise effectively with customers, project managers, and other stakeholdersEnsure work is completed within budget and timeline, maintaining high-quality standardsAdhere to all company policies, health and safety regulations, and industry standardsProvide technical support and guidance to junior engineers or apprentices, if requiredParticipate in training and development sessions to maintain up-to-date knowledge of systems and regulationsEssential Requirements:Proven experience in installing and commissioning fire alarm systemsStrong knowledge of BS 5839 and relevant fire safety standardsFamiliarity with key fire alarm systems such as Gent, Advanced, Kentec, Apollo, Hochiki, etc.Full UK driving licenseECS or CSCS CardExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently or as part of a teamDesirable Qualifications:FIA Units 1, 4, or equivalent fire systems qualificationsExperience with emergency lighting systems or additional life safety systemsIPAF / PASMA / Asbestos Awareness certificationElectrical qualifications (e.g., 18th Edition, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation)How to Apply:If you are an experienced Fire Systems Small Works Installation Engineer looking to take the next step in your career with a reputable and growing company, we want to hear from you.Apply now to become part of Firetecnics and contribute to our ongoing success in delivering high-quality fire safety solutions.
