There’s a permanent opportunity for you here as a Data Centre Site Manager to join one of our new data centres in the Hayes, West London areaTo provide leadership, support and take ownership of the data centre maintenance team; to coach and develop team members; to maintain effective support across the business in the provision of all Dalkia’s services; to maintain technical consistency, operational and technological advancements and growth across Dalkia’s offerings; to implement the strategy for the maintenance team in line with business objectives.The RoleLead, coach and support team members within the function.Effectively manage team members from entry to exit.Maintain and conduct effective quarterly and annual performance reviews with team members in line with the HR strategy.To develop individuals to achieve the required accreditations and standards.Identify, monitor and maintain resources required within the data centre maintenance team.Own, monitor and manage PPM and reactive maintenance tasks (requests, incidents, changes, problems and project-related work) and ensure they are appropriately owned and communicated to our Client.Manage, monitor and review the systems, processes and tools required within the function to enable an efficient and consistent service in conjunction with the Dalkia Account Manager and Site Supervisors.Maintain good practice within the function and lead improvements within the function in terms of services, systems, processes and tools.To act as the escalation point for data centre maintenance-related enquiries and co-ordinate resolution and communication.To ensure excellent customer service is demonstrated and embedded within the team.To liaise and co-operate with management in achieving the organisational goals.Ensure the implementation of best practices and compliance with internal procedures, routines and protocol including security, safety and regulatory.OperationalTo maintain the integrity of our Clients Data Centre in HayesTo manage the building M&E infrastructure including, Physical security, Power management, Air conditioning/cooling, Fire detection/suppression and the Building Management System (BMS) To ensure the necessary processes and procedures exist for PPM and reactive maintenance are best practices within the data centre environmentResponsible for the development and implementation of all processes and procedures relating to working practices within the data centres, in accordance with our existing ISO and Health and Safety policiesWork with senior management to propose, agree and deliver best practices within the data centresWork with senior management to propose, agree and deliver ongoing design, development and planning for further development and improvements of the data centreMonitor and manage the permit-to-work-based process for work at the Data CentreAccountable for resolving incidents relating to the M&E infrastructure to ensure the integrity of systems within the Data Centre for both Dalkia and our ClientResponsible for arranging the decommissioning of redundant mechanical and electrical systems as deemed necessary by the Client Responsible for producing small works quotations for associated reactive maintenance workHours of WorkMonday-Friday, 8am-5pmBenefitsAdditional earnings available through overtime - if wanted25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, plus option to purchase an additional 5 days leave every year – you will also get an additional day off for your birthday Pension with matched contributions between 6-8%Life AssurancePrivate Medical Insurance Single Cover on completion of 12 month' service, with the opportunity to pay for additional cover for partner/dependantsFlexible Benefits Scheme – including eye care voucher, store discounts for major retailers, salary sacrifice electric car vehicle lease scheme, personal IT equipment loans, impartial financial/savings guidanceAccess to wellbeing programmesCompany Sick PayEmployee recognition programmes which reward exceptional achievementsEmployee Referral bonus with generous bonuses for ‘referring a friend’The opportunity to use one working day per year volunteering to help the local communityEmployee Assistance Programme - free, confidential 24/7 365 support on all lifestyle mattersSmartphone/ Tablet, uniform, PPEQualifications and Experience RequiredElectrical NVQ Level 3 or equivalentElectrical – 18th Edition Electrical Inspection and Testing AP15FGAS would be desirable Effective people management skills from entry to exitAbility to demonstrate LeadershipAbility to build and maintain effective working relationships Ability to innovate, adopt and implement new ideasAbility to make effective and measured decisions and implement where necessaryAbility to be responsive to change and act accordinglyCoaching skills Ability to conform and apply consistently Dalkia’s processes, procedures and policiesExcellent organisational skillsExcellent long-range planning skillsMaintain continuous professional development (Plus functional/technical skills)5 years experience in Data Centre managementProfessional qualifications in functionExcellent understanding of ISO certificationsAt Dalkia, we are committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
