We are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our Christchurch, Dorset team!As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for our Christchurch location, you will be responsible for the introduction of new products to production, support current production lines and ensure services are always available to production.Location: Christchurch, DorsetWe Take Care of Our PeopleWork-life balance through our Hybrid working, flexitime program and condensed work week (role dependent) I Paid Time Off I Retirement with Employer Match I Health and Wellness Benefits I Learning and Development Opportunities I Competitive Pay I Bonus Scheme I Recognition I Employee Stock Purchase Plan I Inclusive & Supportive Culture *Your ChallengeAssist in Introduction of new products to productionActively work with Engineering on all DFM/testability/manufacturability issues and design of new productsDevelop new manufacturing processes and build guidesDesign and produce assembly jigs and fixturesLayout manufacturing cells with all tooling and servicesSupport Current ProductionSuggest and implement improvements to current production processesInvestigate and solve manufacturing problemsInvestigate Quality problems caused by build and external suppliersIdentify new production methods and toolingDesign and prototype toolingRecommend improvements to existing methods of manufactureUpdate Existing Build guides in line with improvements and Engineering changesInvestigate faults identified by other departments and recommend action to prevent reoccurrenceAssist in factory layout movesLean tools knowledge and experience (5S, continuous improvement, etc)Support production In all Manufacturing sitesAutomation knowledge Work alongside other Engineering Departments Take ownership for departmental projects Ensure services available to production at all timesEnsure equipment is available and operationalEnsure equipment is safe to useWhat You BringHNC/Degree Engineering discipline (Manufacturing/Mechanical/Electronics)8+ years’ experience in a similar role in Low/medium/high volume Electro-mechanical manufacturing environment (Less experience/other industry considered)Awareness of modern manufacturing philosophies and techniquesComputer literate (MS Word, MS Excel, Solidworks)Knowledge of ERP systemshands-on experienceKnowledge of material processing processesBasic Pneumatics/Hydraulics knowledgeSteady under pressureOrganizedTeam player – Can work as part of a dynamic team.Good communication skills with all levels of staff across all departmentsWho We AreWith over 50 years of experience in aviation technology, Curtiss-Wright's Sensors Division is continuing the legacy of flight innovation, providing critical components on a variety of commercial, defense and industrial platforms.
