Customer Service Manager Stockport (Transport and Logistics) Our client are a well-established logistics company based in Stockport and due to their continued growth they are looking for an experienced Customer Service Manager to be based in the head office in Stockport. They currently operate across 2 pallet networks, hazardous and non-hazardous freight and working within the UK Transport department, you will be responsible for the following: Answering calls and liaising with customers chasing bookings, delivery times and dealing with queries. Liaising with other pallet network depots to chase ETAs. Working with the Operations team to ensure that customers deliveries run smoothly and communicating any issues to customers in a timely and professional manner. Managing customer claims and paperwork. Managing and updating internal and pallet network databases accurately. Calling and emailing suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiating prices and arranging bookings for customers. Working with accounts to set up new businesses onto our internal system and the booking portal. Providing excellent customer service and developing strong relationships with both our customers and suppliers. We are ideally looking for someone with experience in transport and logistics and who understands how busy the industry can be. You must have an excellent telephone manner and be able to work well under pressure and communicate with other people both internally and externally TPBN1_UKTJ
