We are representing a leading Plant Hire specialist in Godstone looking for a Hire Desk Controller who knows their excavators from their telehandlers. This isn't just an admin job; its the engine room of the depot. You will be the bridge between major construction sites and the workshop, ensuring that high-value machinery is where it needs to be, exactly when it needs to be there. Key Responsibilities Fleet Coordination: Manage the hire cycle for a range of plant (excavators, dumpers, rollers, etc.), ensuring maximum utilization of the fleet. Expert Advice: Take technical inquiries from site managers and contractors, advising on the right kit for their specific project needs. Transport Logistics: Work closely with HGV drivers to plan routes and timed deliveries across Surrey and the South East. Cross-Hiring: Negotiating with external suppliers to source equipment when internal stock is low to ensure the customer is never let down.
