Job Description Financial Controller - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Package: £100K-£110K + Bonus & Benefits Yorkshire (Hybrid) We are seeking a Financial Controller to join a leading large business on a 12 month fixed-term contract (with potential for extension). This senior finance role provides oversight across multiple functions. Key Responsibilities /t - Lead and manage all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring compliance with IFRS and delivering accurate, transparent outputs. /t - Oversee external reporting processes and statutory accounts, including coordination of external audits to Group timelines. /t - Deliver of Group External Financial Statements /t - Act as a trusted business partner to stakeholders across Operations, Commercial, and Central Functions. /t - Provide technical accounting advice to support strategic decision-making. /t - Drive improvements in internal controls and maintain a strong control environment. /t - Manage balance sheet risks and opportunities, focusing on working capital and cash flow. /t - Prepare Board-level outputs for significant accounting judgements and key deliverables. /t - Oversee statutory cash flow processes and period-end reporting packs. /t - Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required. Skills & Experience /t - Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA). /t - Proven experience in external reporting, financial accounting, and audit processes. /t - Background in Big 4 or large, complex organisations preferred. /t - Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and internal controls. /t - Familiarity with large ERP systems. /t - Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. /t - Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to deputise for the Financial Controller. /t - Experience managing large finance teams.
