Ocean Import Operator / Account Manager  Salary: Up to £38,000 Location: Manchester / M23  Office/Hybrid : Hybrid  Bonus: Quarterly bonuses  A successful and expanding freight forwarding company is seeking an Ocean Import Operator / Account Manager to join their modern office. This is a start-to-finish role with responsibility for both operations and customer management, within a supportive and well-established team. The position is primarily focused on ocean imports, with the opportunity to be trained on air freight operations. Candidates without air freight experience are encouraged to apply if they are keen to broaden their skill set. Key Responsibilities Manage ocean import shipments from booking through to final delivery Act as a key point of contact for customers, managing day-to-day accounts Liaise with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers and customs Prepare and manage import documentation and customs clearance Track shipments and proactively manage any delays or issues Receive training and support across air freight operations Account manage  Learn and train on Air Freight Operations (experience isn't required for Air operations) training will be given  Requirements Previous experience in ocean imports within freight forwarding Ability to manage shipments start to finish Strong communication and organisational skills Customer-focused approach Willingness to learn and develop within air freight Benefits Basic salary up to £38,000 (depending on experience) Quarterly bonuses plus annual bonus Hybrid working 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Modern office environment Supportive and experienced management team Long-term career progression within a stable, growing company
