Speech and Language TherapistSalary: Competitive hourly rate (negotiable)Location: LondonContract Type: Temporary, Full-timeStart Date: As soon as possibleAbout the RoleWe are working in partnership with an NHS service in London to recruit an experienced and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join a supportive, forward-thinking team.This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of children and young people, delivering high-quality, evidence-based support through Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and working closely with families, schools, and professionals across education and health.What You’ll Be DoingDeliver targeted speech and language interventions for children and young people across primary and secondary school settings.Assess communication needs using a range of appropriate tools and approaches, translating findings into clear, effective care plans.Produce high-quality reports written in accessible, child- and family-friendly language, demonstrating sound clinical reasoning.Confidently deliver training and advice to education staff and other professionals to support inclusive practice.Work collaboratively to support children with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) within an SEN framework.What We’re Looking ForEssential QualificationsRecognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent)Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)Registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)Skills & Experience (Essential)Experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist (or student SLT) in education settingsProven experience supporting children with SLCN at both primary and secondary school levelStrong knowledge of SEND and national guidance supporting schoolsExperience using a range of intervention approaches for school-aged childrenKnowledge and practical experience of assessment methods appropriate for this age groupIf you’re a passionate Speech and Language Therapist looking for a flexible, impactful role within an NHS service, we’d love to hear from you.
