Job Description

Our client is looking for a reliable Warehouse Operative to help keep goods moving smoothly—receiving, storing, picking and dispatching accurately so customers get exactly what they’ve ordered.  This role will require a reach and counterbalance FLT licence. This role is temp to perm - you will work via Arden Personnel for 3 months and then the role has the potential to go permanent with our client. The Role You’ll support the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring stock is received correctly, stored safely, picked accurately and dispatched on time. Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 16:00 Breaks: Two 30-minute unpaid breaks per day Location: Redditch Why would I be interested? Temp to perm opportunity 40 hours per week Weekly pay for the first 12 weeks Benefits if the job goes permanent 30 days annual leave (including bank holidays), increasing with service NEST pension contribution at 5% Death in Service x4 salary Long-term sickness cover (50% salary up to 2 years) Smart Health Support: 24/7 virtual GP, 365 days a year “Be World Class” training and development programme “Be Generous Day” volunteering day Company-sponsored activities with “Be Fun” initiatives Month of Gusto food subscription after successful probation Key responsibilities Unloading deliveries and checking goods against paperwork Booking stock onto the electronic system and completing required process steps Picking orders accurately using a hand-held barcode scanner Packing customer orders to standard, ensuring goods are protected and damage-free Putting stock away and rotating stock correctly Supporting inventory controls including PI (perpetual inventory) Reporting damaged or missing stock to the Warehouse Manager Completing second-line checks before dispatch Ensuring orders are ready in line with goods-out schedules Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, and equipment maintained Following operational procedures and working safely in line with Health & Safety rules Communicating with other departments when needed Supporting other tasks to keep operations running efficiently What you’ll need Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment Strong timekeeping and attendance (warehouse life runs on minutes, not maybe’s!) High accuracy and attention to detail Valid Counterbalance FLT licence Valid Reach truck licence Basic computer/data entry skills Good organisation and ability to prioritise to meet deadlines and targets A flexible, positive “can-do” attitude Problem-solving skills and a team-player mindset
