Support Worker Supported Living Location: Midlands area (Coventry and surrounding areas) Salary: 14.00 per hour Hours: 3040 hours per week (Monday to Friday, flexible between 9am5pm) Contract: Permanent Responsible to: Team Leader / Operations Director About Verto Living CIC Verto Living CIC is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing high-quality supported housing for vulnerable adults in the Midlands. Job Purpose As a Support Worker , you will deliver high standards of care and support to individuals in our shared supported living properties. You will promote independence, emotional well-being, and active participation in daily life, tailoring support to each service user's unique needs and aspirations. Key Duties and Responsibilities Build warm, trusting relationships that enhance self-esteem, happiness, and emotional health. Respect privacy, dignity, and individuality at all times. Encourage service users to express their needs, make choices, and participate in decision-making. Support daily living tasks including cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, and household management. Promote social inclusion, friendships, and community engagement. Assist with health needs, appointments, nutrition, exercise, and well-being. Support access to training, employment, and external services. Contribute to person-centred support plans, daily logs, and communication tools. Manage challenging behaviours using agreed strategies. Handle personal finances, benefits, and tenancy responsibilities in line with policies. Attend team meetings, training, and supervision. Ensure compliance with health 'safety, equality, confidentiality, and organisational policies. Work flexibly to meet changing needs, including occasional evenings/weekends if required.
